Janine joined IQ in 2019 after business expansion meant an Operations role was required to support our customers. Janine spent most of her career in RBS and NatWest and has also worked for Citi Bank. Janine holds a degree in Law with Criminology and holds multiple Financial Qualifications including her CeMap and CeSRE.
Ian joined the IQ team after 30 years in the financial services industry, primarily with Nationwide Building Society. He is fully qualified in Financial Planning and Mortgage Advice as well as having several management and leadership qualifications which he uses to assist our team of advisers.
He began his career in financial services after graduating from Ulster University in business and finance and held numerous roles with Nationwide from Financial Planning Manager to Branch district Manager and latterly Area Director for Northern Ireland.
He is passionate about great customer service and building long-term relationships.
Mark has been working within the financial services sector for over 10 years and holds an accountancy degree. Mark began his career with IQ & Co through Mortgage IQ and was based in the East Belfast branch. In this role, Mark gained a wealth of experience in Mortgages and Protection and has since moved to IQ&Co ltd as a paraplanner, supporting the team of advisers with their cases.
Mark's main duties include working alongside our team of advisers, supporting research and administration and liaising directly with clients.
Elizabeth is our Practice manager and supports the team by organising work stream, training and refining processes. She works in our Holywood office and supports the adviser team by ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the process of dealing with IQ.
Elizabeth began her career with IQ through Mortgage IQ, Elizabeth gained a wealth of experience in mortgage and protection and has since moved to IQ&Co ltd as a paraplanner, supporting the team of advisers with their cases.
Mark joined Mortgage IQ in 2017 after 3 years at Nationwide working as a personal banking manager.
Mark works in our Holywood office and, after giving Mortgage and Protection advice for many years, is a qualified Financial Planner providing advice to businesses and individuals.
Joanne has been with Mortgage IQ since its inception and owns our East Belfast branch.
Joanne started her career in Financial Services at the tender age of 16, working for Abbey National until joining the Mortgage IQ team. Joanne is local to her branch and goes the extra mile for all of her customers, working to fulfil their mortgage needs and ensuring customers are adequately protected. Joanne is currently studying for her Diploma in Financial advice.

Akvile joined the IQ Team in 2025, bringing with her valuable experience from her previous role as a receptionist at an estate agency. She is currently working towards a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration and is eager to deepen her expertise in mortgages and protection.
Outside of work, Akvile has a passion for cars and enjoys hands-on projects with her own vehicle. A keen linguist, she is fluent in five languages, reflecting her enthusiasm for continuous learning and communication.
George works in our Holywood office as part of the Business Support team.

Che joined IQ in 2025 after working as a mortgage consultant and a fraud investigator within the Lloyds Banking Group. Che has spent his career working in banking and business finance roles where he has gained extensive knowledge on the banking industry and the complexities of financial crime.
Che has hopes to become an adviser and is currently studying for his CeMap qualification to do this and further his capability in the industry.
Chantelle joined IQ in 2023 after working as a mortgage consultant with Halifax. Chantelle has spent her career working in various banking and business finance roles with NatWest and First Trust.

Julia joined Mortgage IQ in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience from the car sales and finance industry, as well as time spent working in an estate agency. Laura has spent her entire working career with links to the financial services sector and specifically St. James's Place, having started working as a financial services administrator in 2000 providing assistance to her father, who was a financial adviser with St. James's Place (then J. Rothschild Assurance).
Laura’s role also extended to property sales and management within the family estate agency business, but she always had a particular interest in financial services and developed her knowledge to provide PA / Paraplanner services, dealing largely with wealth management.
Laura assists customers across Coleraine, Ballymena and Antrim branches and is often the voice on the end of the phone when dealing with mortgage and protection queries.
